A three-origin blend of Colombian, Brazilian, and Sumatran beans, medium-roasted. Dark chocolate notes, earthy spice, and a smooth full finish — more body and complexity than a straight Colombian medium, with the Sumatra adding depth without pushing it into dark territory.

Named for the C-17 Globemaster III — called the Moose for its massive frame and ungainly profile that somehow gets the job done every time, on every continent, in every condition. More capable than it looks.

Works for drip, French press, and pour-over. Also available in 12-count K-cup pods.

About Moose

What is Moose coffee?

Moose is a medium roast coffee from Aerial Resupply Coffee, roasted in Charlottesville, Virginia. Named after the C-17 Globemaster III — the heavy-lift transport aircraft nicknamed "Moose" — it's a three-origin blend built for endurance. Colombian, Brazilian, and Sumatran beans, roasted to deliver a full-bodied cup that holds up across a long day.

Where is it roasted?

In-house at the Aerial Resupply Coffee roastery at 705 Dale Ave, Charlottesville, VA. Every batch roasted to order.

What does it taste like?

Deep chocolate notes, subtle earthy spice, and a smooth finish. Full-bodied without bitterness. The three-origin blend — Colombian, Brazilian, Sumatran — gives it more complexity than a single-origin medium roast.

What's the bean blend?

Colombian, Brazilian, and Indonesian Sumatra. The Colombian brings sweetness and brightness, the Brazilian adds body and nutty depth, and the Sumatra grounds it with earthy complexity. Three origins pulling in the same direction.

Who is it for?

People who want a medium roast with actual weight to it. Moose is bold enough to feel substantial but balanced enough for daily use — built for long hours, not just a quick morning cup.

Is Moose available as a subscription?

Yes. Moose is available through the 1st Caffeine Regiment subscription — save 15% on every order, with $1 per order donated to Service Dogs of Virginia.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Moose different from Firewatch?

Both are medium roasts, but different builds. Firewatch is a single-origin Colombian — smooth, bright, stonefruit and caramel. Moose is a three-origin blend — Colombian, Brazilian, Sumatran — with a heavier body, deeper chocolate notes, and more earthy complexity. Firewatch is the everyday workhorse. Moose is the heavy lifter.

Is Moose a strong coffee?

It's a medium roast, so caffeine is in the standard range — but the flavor profile is bold. Full-bodied and complex without crossing into dark roast territory.

What brew methods work best for Moose?

Drip, French press, and pour-over all work well. The three-origin blend holds up particularly well in French press, where the full body and earthy Sumatra notes have room to develop.

Is Moose veteran-owned?

Aerial Resupply Coffee is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), founded by a U.S. Army logistics officer and Bronze Star recipient. Privately held. Not publicly traded.
