The Veteran Coffee Subscription That Doesn't Have to Tell You It's Veteran-Owned

The Veteran Coffee Subscription That Doesn't Have to Tell You It's Veteran-Owned

A lot of companies tell you they support veterans. Some of them are even telling the truth. The ones who are usually don't need to say it as loudly.

I started Aerial Resupply Coffee as a service-disabled veteran. Not a veteran-adjacent brand. Not a company founded by a guy whose uncle served. I did two combat tours, got out, and decided if I was going to sell something, it was going to be something I actually use every day and could stand behind without flinching.

That's the whole pitch. No flags on fire. No stolen valor. Just coffee that's built right, from a company that qualifies for what it claims.

What "Veteran-Owned" Actually Means

Here's the part most companies skip over.

The SBA has a category called Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. SDVOSB. To qualify, the company has to be majority-owned and controlled by a service-disabled veteran. Not partially. Not symbolically. Majority ownership, day-to-day control, and verified through a federal certification process.

ARC is SDVOSB certified. That certification is public record. It's not a marketing claim. It's a legal designation that took documentation, verification, and an actual paper trail to obtain.

Calling yourself veteran-owned without that certification isn't illegal. Companies do it all the time. It just means the claim exists for marketing purposes and not much else.

I'm not going to name competitors here. But if you're buying a "veteran-owned" coffee subscription, it's worth five minutes to check whether the company qualifies under SBA rules. The ones that do will tell you exactly how.

Why Military Appreciation Month Matters More Than a Hashtag

May is Military Appreciation Month. Every brand in America finds its flag collection in May.

The way we handle it is to keep doing what we were doing in March. The coffee is the same. The mission is the same. The only thing that changes is we lean harder into the products that were built specifically for the veterans this month is supposed to be about.

FEATURED — MAY 2026

JTAC Danger Close — Heroes Edition Roast

Military Appreciation Month Featured Roast

The JTAC Danger Close Heroes Edition is not our everyday roast. It's not built for the commute. It's built for the people who operated in conditions where a mistake cost someone their life, and found a way to keep showing up anyway.

Medium roast. Colombian base. Cleaner than the circumstances it was named after.

A portion of proceeds from this roast supports Service Dogs of Virginia, our charitable partner. SDV trains service dogs for veterans with disabilities and PTSD. We've donated $1 per subscription order to SDV since we launched. The Heroes Edition takes that further.

Best for: Ceremonial brewing. Gifting to someone who gets it. The cup you drink before a day that deserves to be taken seriously.

Why Subscribe Instead of Just Buying a Bag

The subscription exists because running out of coffee is a solvable problem and most people keep not solving it.

Here's what the subscription model actually is: you pick your roast, pick your frequency, and it shows up. 15% off every recurring order. 30% off your first bag with code WELCOME15. Cancel anytime. No subscription traps, no dark patterns, no three-step cancellation process designed by someone who has never tried to cancel a subscription.

Every subscription order triggers a $1 donation to Service Dogs of Virginia. That's not an extra step or an opt-in. It's automatic. If you have an active subscription right now, you've already contributed. If you're reading this and you don't have one yet, you know what to do.

"The mission of Service Dogs of Virginia is to improve the quality of life for veterans with disabilities by providing trained service dogs at no cost to them."

The Core Roast Lineup

Every roast is named after something that means something. Not because it sounds tactical. Because the people who roast and drink this stuff come from those worlds and the names aren't decorations.

FLAGSHIP

Fire Watch — Colombian Medium Roast

The all-day drinker. Army angle.

Named after the most thankless detail in the military. Two hours in the dark, walking the perimeter, hoping nothing happens. Fire Watch is the coffee for the morning after that. Medium roast, Colombian single origin, smooth enough to drink at 0500 without arguing with your stomach.

Best for: Daily driver. The cup that's already brewing when everyone else is still finding their boots.

DARK ROAST

15W40 — Dark Italian Roast

Named after engine oil. Smooth despite itself.

15W40 is the motor oil that keeps running when the engine is running hot. The roast works the same way. Dark Italian profile, low acidity for something this dark, and a finish that doesn't punish you for making the obvious choice at 0400.

Best for: People who say they don't like dark roast and then keep drinking it anyway. Marines. Anyone who needs the engine to run regardless of conditions.

HIGH CAFFEINE

MOAB — Double Caffeinated Medium Roast

The energy drink replacement. Coast Guard angle.

MOAB is the Massive Ordnance Air Blast of the coffee world. Double the caffeine of a standard cup. Robusta base for the extra kick. Zero of the 54 grams of sugar that come in a standard energy drink can.

The energy drink industry is currently dealing with wrongful death lawsuits tied to high-caffeine products. MOAB has been double-caffeinated since day one. The difference is what's not in it.

Best for: Replacing the energy drink habit. Pre-workout without the crash. Anyone who needs the second gear without the subsequent cardiac concern.

The Subscription That Works Like a Subscription Should

Use code WELCOME15 on your first subscription order. Thirty percent off. After that, fifteen percent off every subsequent order, automatically applied.

One bag a month if that's your pace. Three bags if you run a household. Pick your frequency. Change it anytime. No one is going to make it difficult for you to adjust your coffee schedule.

The only thing we ask is that you try it before you decide whether this is the subscription worth keeping. The coffee is the argument. Everything else is just context.

Military Appreciation Month Runs All May

We're not putting a flag on our logo in May and calling it done. We're running the same operation we run every month: sourcing good coffee, roasting it right, shipping it to people who depend on the ritual. The Heroes Edition is available now. The discount code is WELCOME15 for thirty percent off your first subscription bag.

If you've been meaning to switch from the gas station cup or the energy drink can, this is a reasonable month to do it.
